Monday 4:32pm Kenya time -- 8:32am Texas time

We've been traveling all day to western Kenya... we're headed to a children's home that 10/10 is considering as a partner. Right now we're in the city of Kericho. We passed through miles of tea plantations and have stopped for some tea and a quick bite at a hotel in the city. Yesterday was a long but fulfilling day. Pastor Brown saved me from preaching the 7:00 service but I preached the 9:00 and 11:00 service. Several people came forward to give thier lives to Jesus. It was incredible! Brown and I were praying with all of these people and then he called Vicki up to pray with them as well. Very cool. We then had a music extravaganza. Basically a singspiration... in the afternoon. Several churches were there and brought special music. They asked our team to come up and sing something. So, i grabbed an electric guitar and we all sang Celebrate Jesus. All i can say is that it was a joyful noise unto the Lord. I then preached another sermon for all those there. In the evening we drove downtown and saw the rest of Nairobi... what a contrast to the slums. We then ate at one of our host family's homes, Rose. She is a sweet lady with a big heart. Tons of Kenyan food! The fellowship was amazing... I can't begin to tell you how great it was. By the way, I'm now a member of the Kamba tribe. The Kamba's choice of weapon is a bow and arrow so... being the mighty bow hunter.... I am Kamba. I was also given a name... Munene (Moo neh neh). It means leader... everyone in the team is wondering why they would give me that name! :) There is so much more that I wish I could write but we have to get back to the hotel... Brown and I are in an internet cafe a block away. Not sure if we'll have more than sentences for the blog as we will not be near the internet for the next several days. I will text. Thanks for the prayers... pray for Kenya, pray for Redeemed Gospel Church, pray that God will continue to bless this country and their work in the Lord. Pray that God will show us our part in this work in the future. Everyone is healthy. Blessings, David
