Andrew Jefferson – Humble Hearts and Candlelight 6/12/2009

Today us and the mission trip from Northside went to two schools. First we went to Candlelight. Once we arrived we walked to one of the classrooms, met other people from 10/10 and from the CBO and had a meeting. First, we were all telling our names, 10/10 first, then Northside, then CBO. Everyone introduced their names and after that we started the meeting. Solomon first talked about how people live in Africa, after that he talked about how the water here is dirty and you can catch Typhoid Fever from it, after that he talked about how you need to give balance and planning. Then he talked about how you come to pastor Fred if something bad happens there, like if your parents die. After Candlelight, we went to Humble Hearts school for the deaf. First, we walked into the principal’s office and looked at the sign language chart. One of the teachers talked to us about how to say words. After that we went to the classes, in the final class they had carpentry and all of the carpenters were deaf. Finally, we left and got in our van and came home.
